A percentage tells you whether conditions are good. Pilota explains why: wind, waves, tide, pressure, moon and water temperature.

Where the forecasts come from
Wave, wind and temperature forecasts come from Open-Meteo's weather and marine models. Pilota combines them with the tide, the moon and the pressure to calculate the fishing score. Wind weighs the most in the calculation, followed by waves and tide. These forecasts are indicative: before going out, also check the official bulletins and look at the sea.

How does Pilota calculate the fishing score?
Pilota combines wind, waves, tide, pressure, moon, solunar periods, water temperature and current. It shows a percentage and explains which factors raise or lower it.
Are the forecasts enough for safety at sea?
No. Pilota's forecasts are indicative. Before going out, check the official marine weather bulletins and look at the sea on site. When the sea is dangerous, Pilota shows it on screen.
